Responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work sites. Accurately receive and process explosive products and accessories at company’s explosive magazine sites, while ensuring regulatory compliance at sites. Inspect and validate accuracy of trucks being loaded. Properly order, stock and store supplies according to business demands. Safely transport and deliver explosives supply to meet daily job site requirements. May also be required to work in the field as a Laborer, as determined by company needs.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for receiving and dispersing supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Transport explosives supply by use of Class C vehicles.
  • Deliver product to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and or shelves by hand.
  • Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage while in transit.
  • Responsible for performing accurate order fulfillment counts. Counts, weights, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand or using powered equipment.
  • Accurately maintain required paperwork for receipt, transportation, delivery and storage of explosives.
  • Clean work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
  • Assure that DOT safety rules and regulations are met including accurate log-book and daily safety check information documentation.
  • Assure that all state and local traffic laws and regulations are followed.
  • Submit to Federal DOT required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Take direction and perform construction laboring activities.
  • Work unsupervised occasionally.
  • Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes.
  • Maintain clean and organized job site.
  • Promptly report all vehicle incidents/accidents and traffic violations that have occurred during the course of performing commercial driving.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Must have Class C CDL w/ Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to meet ATF “possessor” requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good oral communications and basic math skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to make decisions that are in the company’s best interest.
  • Experience as construction laborer helpful, but not necessary.
  • Submit to Federal DOT required drug and alcohol testing.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Able to work in outside environment. All weather conditions.
  • Position requires proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 5% of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
  • Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
